Measuring yourself

The first number is your waistline in cm. The second is your height. If you do not know yoursizes, be sure to read the information below.

You can trust what you have in your closet. Below are the most effective methods.

Take your suit trousers out of your closet, put them on and check if you haven’t grown out of them. If the size is appropriate then check size which should be on the garment label.

Take out of your closet you favourite trousers. Make sure they are lying flat. Measure the stretched length around the waist and multiply by two. To the result of add 2 cm. This is your waistline. Always round up. Professionally, trouser waistline is measured around the circumference of the trousers by dragging the measuring tape on lower part of the strip from the top of the zipper around to the other side, to the seam of the zipper. This is how we measured our trousers.

For example, an actual size of 98 when measured should not be less than 98 cm when using this method. This has a tolerance to a maximum of 2 cm up.
Depending on the type of model the actual length with the same height may differ. This depends on the width of the trouser leg as well how high-waisted the trousers are. The best option is to check the tables below.

Height 164 waist 94-96 cm.

Height 170 waist 96-100 cm.

Height 176 waist 100-104 cm.

Height 182 waist 104- 108 cm.

Height 188 waist 108-112 cm.

Normally men who wear shirts, know their size. We should select a shirt so that the circumference of the chest should be from 10-14 cm bigger than the actual chest circumference. For example, if the actual circumference of the chest is 100cm when you choose a shirt with a circumference of 110 cm - category B. Remember that with category C go for a larger size than the actual circumference.

We know from experience that the men with a height of 176-182 cm need shirts with sizes
173 to 185 cm.

A – circumference of the collar

B – circumference of the shirt at chest height

C – circumference of the shirt at belt height

D – sleeve length

A 39-40 41-42 43-44 45-46
B 110 118 126 134
C 102 110 118 132
D 67 67 67  64

The measuring technique is the same as with shirts but you do not need to add so much to the actual sizes because sweaters are very flexible. Even a sweater with sizes identical to the chest quickly adapts to the user. It is important that the size of the sweater is not less than the size of the chest.

A 64 65 67 69 70 71
B 62 63 65 65 66 66
C 104 108 112 116 120 124
D 102 106 110 114 116 120

A measure of the circumference is given in centimetres. The simplest method of measuring your head is to make circles with a tape measure, eg. Make a 58cm circle and put it around your head. Then you will know if the circumference is too large or small. You just have to imagine that this circle is the hat.
